Glass jars are some of the most versatile, fun things to recycle into craft projects. There’s just so much potential for creativity there. ❤ Here’s a super fun and simple project I did with one just this weekend!
All you need is:
- A clean glass jar
- Tissue paper (recycled tissue paper from birthday gift bags works great for this project 🙂 )
- A glue stick
- A refreshing cup of tea in your favorite chicken mug…
OK, OK, maybe you don’t need the last item…but I mean…isn’t life better with chickens? 😉
Anyways, I digress–we’re not here to cluck about my chickens right now–let’s do some crafting!
Start by cutting your tissue paper into squares (imperfect squares that is, LOL). If you want your design to have a more rounded look, take your scissors and trim the corners to make them round as seen below:
Next, take one of your pieces and smudge some glue all over the back of it…
And paste it on your jar!
Continue to add more in whatever pattern you choose…
Until it’s finished! I really love the mosaic look this technique creates, don’t you? 😀
I decided to glue on a leather strap and a sand dollar on mine to enhance it’s already beachy theme.
Hope you guys have fun with this one!
Happy chicken time–oh excuse me–crafting time to all! 😉
