Awesome DIY Kid’s Wallet

Not only is this little wallet cute–but it’s also surprisingly simple to make! ❀ I found this project by while looking for a gift idea for a 10 year old friend of mine that has a birthday coming up. How could I resist!? Click below to get the link to her awesome post and pattern:

I used canvas and denim for mine; which I don’t recommend doing if you don’t have a medium to heavy duty sewing needle. I bent one of mine really badly… It was terrible–I was already afraid I was going to ruin the whole thing since the canvas had frayed so badly the seam was coming undone–and then the needle bent. But it ended happily ever after as you can see. πŸ˜‰

I drew a little tractor with Sharpies on the back of the wallet, since my little friend is practically in love with them. πŸ™‚

I really love this pattern, and had fun making it despite my few bumps in the road. I don’t think using two heavy-duty fabrics at once was the best idea ever…buy hey, you live you learn. πŸ˜‰ And it is just so stinkin’ cute!

Happy sewing! πŸ˜€
