Normally, we buy tartar sauce from the store, but once in a while, we’ll decide to have fish for dinner on a whim–only to discover we’re out of the sauce! 😦 On those days, we whip up a quick batch of homemade stuff. It is SO super easy; it’s just a few more steps than opening up a store-bought bottle.
As to where this recipe came from, I am sorry to say I have no idea. It’s one of those recipes that were just written down on an index card…but boy is it a good one! 🙂
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 TBSP lemon juice
- 2 TBSP pickle relish
Dump all the ingredients in a bowl, mix together, and throw in the fridge until you’re ready to use it! Seriously–that’s it! 😉
Personally, I don’t like to eat fish without tartar sauce. What about you? What’s your favorite thing to eat fish with?
