Originally, this dish was called chicken and dumpling casserole. But we never wanted to make it a dumpling casserole, so we decided to make the biscuits as a side–hence the new name. 🙂 But, whatever you call it, this is definitely one of the best make ahead dinners ever! It’s hearty, savory…the perfect kind of dinner for a cold blustery evening.

Make it when you’ve got time, pop it in the fridge, and take it out to bake at dinner time! 😀 That’s the best way to do dinner on a busy day if you ask me.
